Some of you may not agree with why playing games can actually helps your mental health, right?
There are a lot of aspects about it and I can understand over what affects that way of thinking inside your mind. I was also skeptical about it, though I do really love to play games during my free times. But…… wait. Have you ever thought about why some are just looking or actually happier than you have ever thought before?
I mean, just because they play games, they can actually do look happier than before. Eventually, if they have that solid gaming community that’s not even toxic at all. Even, playing games with your loved one is a great way to form a great bonding.
Keep in mind, it’s not about being addicted to playing games and it’s actually about controlled gaming. In other words, you play games for only when you have free time.
The Connection between Gaming and Mental Health
Did you know that around 14% of the global population are actually having a mental health disorders? Moreover, 3.4% of the global population are affected with anxiety and depression disorders.
It’s also estimated to become 1 of the 3 major causes of morbidity and mortality by 2030.
Which is just so concerning isn’t it? Let’s say if our closed friends or loved one is actually affected with mental health problem, that won’t be a good thing.
Hence, In 2021, a small group did a research about “Gaming Your Mental Health: A Narrative Review on Mitigating Symptoms of Depression and Anxiety Using Commercial Video Games”.
